Nobel Prize committee says future awards should be given to women who didn’t earn it, just to make sure more women are award recipients

You don’t have to actually invent anything novel or make some groundbreaking new discovery to receive a Nobel Prize, these days. According to new reports, all you have to do is be a woman.

The Nobel Prize Committee recently made an announcement that, from now on, it would rather embrace an agenda of diversity at all costs rather than continue to hand out Nobel Prizes based on merit. Its members recently told nominators to instead “consider diversity in gender, geography and topic for the 2019 prizes.”

Since only 18 of the 605 people who’ve received Nobel Prizes since they were first brought to bear have been women, the Committee wants to reinvent the entire purpose and meaning of the Nobel Prize to be more “inclusive” of the female sex – even if the individuals receiving the awards aren’t as adept at making the kinds of discoveries that warrant earning a Nobel Prize in the first place.

“If a woman wins the Nobel Prize in Physics next week, she will be the first to do so in more than 50 years,” stated Elizabeth Gibney in an article she had published in the journal Nature. “Over the same period, just one woman has won in chemistry.”

Women naturally tend to prefer fields other than science, the subject for which the Nobel Prize was created

It’s a matter of fact that women aren’t as interested as men are in pursuing science and technology as an academic specialty. So, naturally, there aren’t going to be as many of them qualifying for the Nobel Prize.

But the Nobel Prize Committee apparently doesn’t care about facts as much as it does about the perception of “equality,” hence its newfound aggressive push for more women to be given Nobel Prizes.

The Committee claims that it’s not about lowering standards simply to boost the female numbers, but rather to make sure that women aren’t “overlooked.” But, again, there just aren’t as many women who pursue the fields for which the Nobel Prize was designed, hence they’re not going to be “represented” nearly as much as the political correctness police would like.

But that isn’t stopping these cultural “architects” from trying, insisting that Nobel Prize nominators need a “gentle nudge” to stop choosing men for the prize, and instead choose women.

Alfred Nobel is rolling in his grave

All of the logical and mental gymnastics that those promoting this sexist proposition are having to perform in order to try to justify completely butchering the Nobel Prize for political correctness purposes is likely causing Alfred Nobel himself, its founder, to roll in his grave.

Quotes about what he originally intended for the Nobel Prize reveal clearly and unequivocally that he wasn’t at all interested in catering to identity politics. He merely wanted the best of the best to be recognized for their accomplishments – and the best of the best, as we can see from the numbers, have primarily been men.

Alfred Nobel’s statement on the matter reads as follows:

“The interest is to be divided into five equal parts and distributed as follows: one part to the person who made the most important discovery or invention in the field of physics; one part to the person who made the most important chemical discovery or improvement; one part to the person who made the most important discovery within the domain of physiology or medicine; one part to the person who, in the field of literature, produced the most outstanding work in an idealistic direction; and one part to the person who has done the most or best to advance fellowship among nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and the establishment and promotion of peace congresses.”
